Islamabad: South Korea on Wednesday handed a donation of 9.2 million rupees to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) for flood victims, ARY NEWS reported.
during the ceremony at the Korean Embassy South Korean firms including Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power donated Rs.4.6 crore and Mira Power Rs.2 crore, while the Embassy donated Rs.2.6 crore. South Korea Gives Rs 9.2 Million Donation to NDMA
Korean ambassador Suh Sangpyo said it was in addition to donations made by public and private companies. and Pakistan-based associations have already donated $300,000 and more than $500,000 respectively.
The ambassador said the first deliveries of relief goods, which consisted of about 300,000 water purification tablets, 30,000 emergency blankets and other necessary relief items, were delivered. South Korea Gives Rs 9.2 Million Donation to NDMA
It was delivered to the NDMA, while the second relief shipment consisted of a family sized tent. Water bags and thermal blankets are also on the way through the cargo ships. It will dock at Karachi Port by October 16.
