KARACHI: Sindh government has recommended two steps to hold local government elections in Karachi.

“Ready police officers will be deployed during the first phase of local council elections. and will be posted for the second term elections at a later date,” according to the government proposal.

The ECP previously announced October 23 as Election Day for local governments in Karachi and October 16 as Election Day for nine national assemblies and three provincial assembly constituencies across the country.
