KARACHI: The Sindh government in conjunction with the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANF) has decided to launch a rehabilitation program for drug addicts.
The Sindh government and the ANF will set up two rehabilitation centers for people affected by drug addiction across the province. Most drug addicts range in age from 15 to 35, the government said. Sindh gov and ANF set up two drug treatment centres.
Secretary General Sindh said that most people involved in street crime are drug addicts. The government will try to stop the sale of heroin, meth, opium and weed inside schools.
The government and the ANF will form a joint policy to end the sale of drugs in schools.
Previously, on October 17, the ANF seized more than 690 kilograms of drugs across the country. and arrested 24 traffickers in a nationwide drug crackdown.
According to the ANF, more than 690 kilograms of drugs have been seized and 24 traffickers have been arrested in the past six days. At least nine vehicles used to deliver drugs have been arrested in a nationwide crackdown.
The ANF said a total of 425 kg of drugs had been seized and seven people were arrested in nine operations in Rawalpindi.

ANF operated four times in Sindh and discovered 122 kg of drugs, six operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) discovered 57 kg of drugs.
