Scotland’s Mark Watt has a cheat sheet

Scottish rider Mark Watt reveals how he helped his team beat the West Indies in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 warm-up game.

 

 

The spinners returned with match-winning numbers 3-12 as Scotland registered a 42-run win comfortably over the two-time champions on Tuesday. Scotland’s Mark Watt has a cheat sheet.

 

Mark Watt shared a picture of the handwritten note he received from Ireland’s captain Richie Berrington on the social media app’s Twitter. His side’s striker told him not to throw in the slot length.

“Don’t bowl the slots,” the note reads.

 

 

Richie Berrington has spoken highly to the media about his involvement in the field.

“He’s a huge character in our dressing room. It’s a great team,” he said after the match. “He was made for important occasions.”

He added, “Even though he is young, But he’s been doing it for years for us now. And of course, he’s someone I feel like I can throw the ball at key moments. He tends to send and receive big wickets. It is definitely his strength.”
