Islamabad: President Dr. Arif Alvi has rejected a petition of mercy from five prisoners sentenced to death. After proving the allegations in a brutal crime against them, ARY News reported Wednesday.

He also rejected a request from Muhammad Imran, who was sentenced to death for killing his wife and two daughters with a butcher knife following a domestic dispute.
The petition for mercy of Muhammad Afsal, who was sentenced to death for the killing of eight of his family members, was also denied. The president also rejected the request of Muhammad Akbar and Muhammad Asghar, who were sentenced to death for the murder of two people after a minor dispute with them.
